EAC marking

800 of 23 September 2011 — an act of the Customs Union, the union its text names throughout; the later Eurasian Economic Union appears nowhere in it. Carrying the mark declares that the product has completed every conformity assessment procedure laid down in the applicable technical regulations of that union and meets the requirements of all of them. A manufacturer or supplier may apply it once those procedures have been completed on the territory of any member state and evidenced by the prescribed documents. The letters stand for Eurasian Conformity, drawn with right angles to exact square proportions, and the mark goes on each unit of product, its packaging or the accompanying documentation.
